Volunteering in Ecuador
Day 1: Arrival in Quito / Accommodation
Arrival in Quito , declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, transfer to the Leonidas Proaño Training Center and the offices of MCCH to rest after the trip.
Day2:MCCH/City Tour/Middle of the world
After breakfast we visit the offices of MCCH to meet your different workspaces, the craft shop, pilot plant, warehouses , and we will have a meeting to establish the activities to be undertaken in communities.
Then we will tour the historic center of the city, its colonial buildings, its churches and museums .
We continue north towards the Middle of the World monument. Lunch. Visit the monument that divides North and South of the planet. It was built in the eighteenth century when a French Expedition defined the precise location of the Ecuador line that divides the world. You can visit the Intiñan Museum . Return for dinner and overnight at Leonidas Proaño House . (Breakfast, lunch and dinner))
Day9:Puerto Lopez- Los Frailes - Quito
After breakfast we went to visit the paradise beach of Los Frailes , beach protected by the Machalilla National Park . Departure to Quito (Breakfast, lunch)

After breakfast, we boarded a motorboat for an hour offshore for later appreciate the dance of humpback whales , which travel once a year to our shores. Return to Puerto Lopez for lunch and afternoon visit to the community of Agua Blanca , first community ecotourism in the Ecuadorian coast , is of great importance due to the potential archaeological ruins with prehistoric belonging to Manteña culture , the last of prehistory Ecuadorian. (Breakfast, lunch an dinner)
Day8:Puerto Lopez- Humpback whales
Day10:Indigenous communities Sierra
Central / Quilotoa
After breakfast we take the Pan-American sppedway to head south towards the Indian community Quilotoa (2.30 hours) who maintain their crops to more than 4000 meters high, admire the famous Tigua paintings and one of the main attractions of the area whose lagoon, located inside the crater is characterized by the contrast between the turquoise waters and volcanic rocks. Lunch at the restaurant Kirutwa , (community tourism project supported by MCCH ). In the afternoon we start our return to the city of Quito . (Breakfast, lunch)
Day11:Quito - Shandia / Indigenous
communities of Amazon
After breakfast we took the road towards the Amazon region to reach the Ecovillage Shandia (MCCH Initiative for the Quichua Shandia community) (4 hours), where the Quichua receive us with a delicious natural juice fruit typical of area. Accommodation and Lunch. In the afternoon we will have a community meeting where we will share its experience and processes will be agreed Volunteering with children. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Programs volunteer support Ecuadorian organizations where MCCH has been involved with initiatives community development . Here volunteers will have a cultural exchange and can meet local realities, development, organization and culture sharing the daily life of the people in the community, getting involved in their development, while they know the natural resources of the three regions .

Day3:Quito/Community of Poza Honda
Quinkigua
Early morning after breakfast will arrive to the Manabi province of Ecuador Coast, through Portoviejo and then we will go into the Community of Poza Honda, where the community will welcome us with lunch. In the afternoon we will meet with leaders to organize volunteer work with children in the community. Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Day7:Quinkigua - Puerto Lopez
After breakfast we headed to the beach in Manta , then embarked to Montecristi, internationally famous for being the place of manufacture of known straw hats , also visit Ciudad Alfaro where we find historical museums, ethnographic, archaeological , an area of interactive park, a locomotive and two rail cars in the afternoon we arrive in Puerto Lopez, ideal city for relax and accommodation (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
