MAQUITA FOODS is a social enterprise that is part of Holding the MCCH Foundation, began its activities in 1989. Looking to the peasants of scarce resources of the country have an alternative to market their products in dignity and solidarity .
MAQUITA FOODS Boost and optimize the marketing of healthy and natural products with quality and warmth , creating conditions and opportunities of access to domestic and international market. Promotes the principles of solidarity socioeconomics and is part of the World Fair Trade Organization ( WFTO ) .
This organization has created its own brand “Maquita”, which is part of its three social companies:
1. AGROMAQUITA: exporter of cocoa beans and semi-finished products.
2. MAQUITA: brand which trades the line of:
MAQUITA FOODS Food such as: Brown sugar, Andian grains and processed food.
MAQUITA CRAFT handicrafts
3. MAQUITA TURISMO: it is an inbound tour operator, which promotes and coordinates a network of Community Tourism Centers (CTCs) nationwide.
The main exportation markets are: Germany, Holland, France, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, USA, Canada, Mexico and Singapore.
